    Povidone-Iodine and Alcohol have long been considered effective antiseptics.


    Now Aplicare offers single, triple, and single 2.5" swabsticks saturated with a new combination Povidone-Iodine / Isopropyl Alcohol formulation: Fast drying, fast acting (saves time) - Efficacy comparable to and in some cases, better than CHG (chlorhexidine gluconate) - Listed as "Preferred" by in the 2006 INS Standards of Practice for catheter access site preparation and maintenance.
